Kewadin Casinos ~ Sault Ste. Marie
Rapids Lounge Presents:
*POSTPONED* – Remnose
March 20 & 21
Remnose is a four-piece indie rock group from Detroit, Michigan formed by two brothers, Marlon and Carson Morton, in 2013. Notes of alt-country and 90’s-era grunge spill out between soft guitar melody and smooth swells of lap steel and synth.
*POSTPONED* – Peter More
April 10 & 11
Best described by Donald Fagen as music with “a smart savvy edge…its an American dish served with hot sauce.” More’s layered stories naturally have evolved with the band’s continual movement through recording sessions beyond San Miguel that took place in Fort Worth, New York City, and Woodstock. Wanderlust underscores More’s music, weaving the many influences and intersections from the songwriter’s unconventional journey. The road just seems to strengthen the bond between the band-mates and the power of More’s heartfelt songs.
*POSTPONED* – Kalie Shorr
May 15 & 16
Kalie Shorr burst onto the Nashville music scene in 2016 with her self-penned hit “Fight Like A Girl”. Kalie’s message of female empowerment has led to praise for her “social advocacy”. Kalie’s first-ever full-length album Open Book releases on September 27th with Rolling Stone saying “[Open Book] showcases the alchemy that Shorr concocts…which manage[s] to conjure both Shania Twain, Red-era Taylor Swift, Dashboard Confessional, and Alanis Morissette all at once.”
*POSTPONED* – Tripp ‘N Dixie & The Lows
Tripp ‘N Dixie
Tripp ‘N Dixie is a 6 piece rock and roll powerhouse from the Detroit, MI area.
