Lisa Fisher named Casino Manager Kewadin Manistique
Lisa Fisher has been selected as the new manager at Kewadin Casinos, Manistique. Fisher has worked with Kewadin Casinos for 19 years in a variety of gaming positions.
“I am very excited and looking forward to working in Manistique,” said Fisher. “This position brings with it the rewards of working with team members and customers, implementing positive changes for the customers and team members, as well as the Tribe. It is a goal I had set for myself many years ago.”
As manager of the facility, Fisher will be responsible for the oversight of approximately 140 team members. She will be working with Geoffrey Vallier, Manistique assistant casino manager and departmental managers to ensuring the casino is operating in an effective manner. “My first project is updating the Casino floor,” said Fisher. “We want to make it more appealing and inviting to customers while at the same time, portraying a professional appearance.” She said the casino will also work on the exterior landscape as well.
“Lisa comes to this position with many years of gaming and business experience under her belt,” said Tony Goetz, casino Chief Operating Officer. “We have high expectations for her and I am confident she will make a positive impact on this property not only by improving customer service and team member communication, but with the improvement of our position in the gaming market in this area.”
Kewadin Manistique offers slot and table games including poker, blackjack, and 3-card poker along with a 60-seat restaurant and lounge. Fisher lives in Cedarville with her husband, Brian, son, three dogs and two cats. She and her family will be moving to the Manistique area in the near future.
